Not free! Cost of the heat gun Electricity clearly isn't free even if you have solar you still paid for the solar. I would prefer to use a propane torch it's faster and easier to judge the temperature.

Ive used this method, and as i see you were sanding quite a lot at one spot, but still no damage on the paint. My car has begun to change color to metal as soon as i began sanding... Used 800grip paper😢 now i got spots of metal all around the part. I didnt apply any pressure whatsoever...

There must be a ton of paint on that car because mine broke through to metal almost immediately

I’ve always wondered if you could use quad zero steel wool. Just rub it lightly with soapy water, kinda like you’re wet sanding… I believe I’ll try it on an old junk car and see how well it works. That’s a cool trick with the heat gun though…👊🏼

I did always like X-Power grey but I well preferred the Trophy blue that I had mine in (same age, a 53 plate that some numpty rammed the back of and wrote off :( )

Great vid - thanks! I have a small (1cm?) lacquer chip/peel on the bonnet of my Audi A3 and bodyshops won’t touch it - they will only re-spray the whole bonnet at vast expense. Do you think your process could do an ok job even in the middle of the bonnet? Thanks!

This car did 10000 miles over the next two years. Then failed it's MOT in 2022 and was scrapped 😢

This poor car didn't survive the year 😅. No history beyond 2020
